Sarah's journey into Eastern medicine began watching her father practice Koryo Hand Acupuncture and prescribe herbal remedies for family and friends. A personal experience in high school with compound herbal therapy and moxibustion — which helped her avoid surgery — opened her eyes to the transformative power of classical medicine.
She completed her B.S. in Biology and Chinese Culture at Emory University, then her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine at South Baylo University. She has worked in Beverly Hills under Cedar Sinai Health Associates, participated in community health seminars, and completed medical mission work in China and Vietnam. Sarah has been in practice in El Segundo since 2013.
"My job is not to fix you. Your body already knows how to heal. My job is to remove what's in the way."
— Sarah Lee Kim, L.Ac.
Dr. Chun is a seasoned acupuncturist and herbalist who majored in Bioscience, earned her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine, and went on to complete her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine — bringing exceptional depth to her practice.
She trained under Dr. Choi, a master of the One Needle Technique — a rare Korean acupuncture method that diagnoses the root cause of illness and treats systematically. Dr. Chun views the body as a small universe where all parts are interdependent, and believes the body has the power to heal itself when given the right support.
New patients are warmly welcomed. Your first visit includes a full intake consultation — unhurried time so Sarah can understand your whole picture before treatment begins.
